[Info] What is Maple Story?

Maple Story is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) that is similar to Ragnarok Online (RO), which has already gone Pay-To-Play (i.e. pay a monthly fee to play). In similarity, I mean in terms of the hugely fun cartoonish 2D graphics. Both characters and monsters are generally depicted in cartoonish form. In fact, monsters are of the more... cute variety, i.e. mushrooms, slime and even pigs, at least at first.

Like in all RPGs, Maple Story provides multiple base classes, with potential to specialize in several jobs for each class. Moreover, the world of Maple Story is rather large, with many, many individual maps to play in.

Most importantly, of course, Maple Story is free (both in terms of software and subscription fees). That is cool. Of course, a cash shop is available. This is where the more affluent players can opt to purchase cool looking / ability items, but this is strictly not necessary at all.
